Winning Wednesday: Christina's New Chapter

A new set of keys can represent so much more than a place to live. For Christina, a parent in our Single Parent Network, this milestone represents growth, independence, stability, and hope.

Christina connected with Middletown WORKS through a referral from our partners at Middletown Adult Education. Through case management and barrier assistance, we worked alongside her as she navigated her transition into a new apartment, including support securing furniture for her home and assistance with utility costs.

Christina also participated in the Recalibration Lab with J.M.A.I.I.A. Center. Today, she has stable housing, continues to pursue her education, and is working toward a new career path.

This Winning Wednesday, we celebrate Christina’s determination and the steps she is taking toward the future she wants for herself and her family. We also recognize the partnerships that help us support parents along the way, including Middletown Adult Education, ReStore–Cromwell, and J.M.A.I.I.A. Center.

In Christina’s Words
